The Mahjong Paws™ app

The game is free, with no ads or in-app purchases. Scores are points only. Offline play does not require a login.

Online play and the League

The app creates a random player ID. Online features use that ID, your online or League display name, League match results and player reports to provide play, rankings and player-safety features. A random ID is a pseudonymous identifier: it can connect activity to the same player, even without a real name.

Your display name is visible to other players in online play and the League. Choose a name that does not reveal personal information. Names are filtered on the server. You can report, block or mute players from the Players box.

Hold-to-talk voice

At an online table, voice is relayed to other players only while you hold the talk button. This audio is not stored. You can choose not to use voice and can mute other players.

Saved progress on iPhone

The iPhone app uses Game Center saved games to back up your progress. Apple’s handling of information through Game Center is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

No tracking

Mahjong Paws™ does not use app data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Website interest signup

Signing up on this website is separate from playing the app. We save your email address, selected platform, language and consent date in a private D1 database so the Mahjong Paws™ team can arrange launch notifications for your chosen platform.

To limit abusive signup attempts, the website processes your IP address into an hour-based SHA-256 digest and stores that digest, an attempt count and an expiry time. This rate-limit record does not retain the raw IP address. Expired records are cleaned up during later submissions, not necessarily at the hour boundary.

This does not create a game account or subscribe you to an ongoing newsletter. The signup currently sends no confirmation emails or email campaigns.

Tell us whether your request concerns the app or the website. For website signup requests, use the email address you registered. For app requests, include your player ID if available so we can identify the relevant records. Do not send passwords or other sensitive information.
